The Western Ontario Girls Hockey League welcomes the Chatham Outlaws and Mitchell Meteors as new associations to it's hockey league for the coming season.
We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome our newest Board member, Marie Burt. Marie brings a wealth of knowledge in female hockey and will be taking on the position of "Director"

Each week a couple of different All-Star teams will be posted.
Why play female hockey in the Western Ontario Girls Hockey League?
1. Split Season. After 10 initial games, all teams are re-evaluated and placed in to groups where they can best compete and grow as hockey teams.
2. Division Championship banners awarded after 2nd half of season split, giving more teams a better opportunity to win a division.
3. All teams make the post season play-offs. Last season, 26 teams were awarded Gold medals and 26 awarded Silver.
4. All teams are asked to participate in the season ending all-star game. A showcase of hockey talent being played in WOGHL
5. A wide variety of levels of hockey being offered. From House League teams C, B and BB teams.
6. Longer game times. Our Midget teams play 3, 15 minute stop time periods.
